Get yourself an old computer, you might have one in the closet or you might find one 8-16 years old in a garage sale for $50.
This computer will run at lightning speed using Linux.
Go on You Tube, learn how to create a lauch disk => do it on a flash drive.
Get said computer up and running Linux (free).
Now I went to an engineering college and used Unix workstations, having said that, it’s just not that hard.
Reference you tube videos for how to download videos using Linux from the command line.
Or you could just do it like I do with one of the many sites that do it for you. I’m running Linux Mint with a Firefox browser. It’s nearly like Windoze 7.
Don't need to go to that trouble. There a numerous youtube downloaders. Also, you can do screen captures with software. I like Allavsoft. You just draw a rectangle around the video you want to copy and let it rip. If it's on your screen, this will copy it.
Thanks I’ll check it out, but I will admit I had a hard time getting Linux Mint to work as I didnt have a CD drive and it wouldn’t boot from USB.
