White House officials believe Chief of Staff John Kelly’s personal cellphone was compromised, raising concerns that hackers or foreign governments may have had access to data on the phone, Politico reported on Thursday.

The leak may have been something stolen from Kelly's phone, but without knowing that Trump could have thought Kelly leaked it.

So far, it’s only news media hype. No one has pointed to any nation being on the end of this. It would be amusing if the Secret Service reaches some stage where the only possible culprit...is the NSA. That might be an interesting meeting where the Secret Service chief lays out the evidence to see how the NSA chief reacts.

What kind of cell phone does Kelly have? If it’s a smart one, like mine, it does what it wants — all on its own. Even in the middle of the nite.

This would explain the mysterious “taken off the plane” event which started so many rumors of his demise....
Our domestic state enemies by far out weigh our foreign ones both in severity of threat and chaos to eliminate them. Very sad. The funny part is we pay the domestic ones a huge salary at taxpayer expense to do their damage.
If Mueller is found to be behind this, he should be executed.
The news is soooo doubtful these days. Gossip might be the better term for what we hear lately.
It is a practice in high security areas to ban cell phones. People have to surrender them to a security receptionist. Cell phones can be turned on and listened to by hackers. Your phone that you think is tuned off can actually be broadcasting.
DWS’s IT staff set up some phones didn’t they? Maybe he bought one of them!
