Las Vegas (CNN)In addition to his frequent forays into casinos and gun shops, Las Vegas strip killer Stephen Paddock took 20 cruises, many of them in Europe and the Middle East, investigators have learned.
New video shows concertgoers fleeing scene 02:57 The cruises included stops at ports in Spain, Italy, Greece, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, according to information provided by a law enforcement source who asked not to be identified because the source was not authorized to share information about the investigation. Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, accompanied him on nine of the cruises.

In the wake of Sunday's attack, authorities now believe Paddock rigged his car to explode if fired upon, according to information provided by the source. The car, a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring, contained 90 pounds of Tannerite and two suitcases filled with hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Explosive-sniffing dogs discovered the vehicle, according to the information.

Investigators have also determined that Paddock booked three rooms at the Ogden, a luxury condominium tower in Las Vegas, between September 17 and September 28. The condos were on high floors and facing north overlooking the Life Is Beautiful music festival, according to the information provided by the source. He attempted to book a room at the El Cortez, but there were no vacancies, according to the information. The source said investigators recovered a notepad with numbers in it "significant to the gunman" and were attempting to determine their meaning.
The presence of the numbers was first reported by The New York Times, based on an interview with Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Placed there by whom? Do we know if the police didn't move it out of the way when they were getting ready to breach the 'main' door?
No. It parked in the parking lot a block away on the back side of the hotel. He couldn’t have shot at it. It would have taken several minutes to over to it. He could forget about valet service during the commotion.
Yes. Gambling on cruises. He probably got and used perks for cruise trips, airline mileage and hotels everywhere.
Exactly. He was retired and had enough money to cruise all year round if he wanted. But the conspiracy crew are on a roll here, stand in their way and you’ll get run over.
My theory is that the FBI and the rest of the Deep State know exactly who this guy was, what he was doing and why. They are slow walking telling us about it for two reasons.
First, the left loves to live in that time frame between the incident and the facts coming out. They are free to fill in the blank space with whatever made up facts and over the top emotional outbursts that help their agenda. It gives a tool like Girly Kimmel the chance to cry on TV and tug at heart strings. It gives Chazz Shooomaah a chance to bring the Ouija Board to the floor of the Senate and speak for the dead.
Secondly, it gives the Deep State a chance to cover for any incompetence that might have happened. It gives them a chance to cover for missing an obvious sign or developing a great cover story.
Please see #86. From that distance he only hit the tanks a few times. With one round penetrating. I think the car was supposed to have been parked near the tanks. A lucky shot might have done the trick.
Even neighbors said he’d go gambling and traveling for weeks and months at a time. The guy didn’t have a family to stay home for. He was retired. He had money. So, he traveled. He liked thrills so gambled, flew planes and traveled. He liked guns and bought them all his life. The thing is what caused him to buy a lot of guns this past year and did it have anything to do with his weight loss and new prescriptions.

Although having a second room may have been a way of hiding for just a bit longer. It sounds like SWAT broke into just the one door - not sure why they didn’t enter both.
Maybe the security guard said “So I was at the door and he started shooting like crazy at me and hit my leg. Then I heard a single shot, and then it was quiet.” (I was going to have the guard hear a “thunk” after the single shot - but I’m guessing after all of that nearby gunfire his hearing was shot.)
HMMM - the photo of the shooter in the pool of blood - no hearing protection iirc. That seems odd - with all of the planning that he did. Maybe THAT’s why he didn’t fire the remaining hundreds (thousands?) of rounds he had.

I looked at the photo again. I don’t see any hearing protection. I think even a small foam plug would have been visible sticking out of his one ear. I can’t imagine shooting a gun at least once and realizing how loud it can be. And then trying to do it inside. It’s not like in the movies where they have the shoot-out in the room and nobody reacts to how loud it just was. “BANG, BANG, BANG.” Then whispering to their partner - “Cover me.”
On one site it shows a photo of blood on his stomach claiming he shot himself twice! Pretty sure it is just splatter coming from out of his mouth, across his chin and landing on his pot-belly.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think the cameras had anything to do with tipping him off as to the police arrival, he knew they would come. I think the cameras were there to let him know when “accomplices and/or possibly enemies were there.
Laura Loomer says lots of Department of Homeland Security activity at Mandalay Bay. Big, if true. A DHS takeover of the investigation would almost certainly mean a terrorism investigation.
