The President is listed as an unconfirmed speaker at this weeks upcoming Values Voter Summit at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, D.C. The president spoke at last years summit just before winning the 2016 presidential election.
Gary Bauer, President of American Values and coordinator of the event, says that he expects the president to receive a warm welcome from this years values voters. I worked with these types of voters for a long, long time. I think the reaction will be incredibly positive. Quite frankly it will be the kind of reaction that some of our congressional leaders could only dream of.
Speaking of congressional leaders, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is also listed as an unconfirmed speaker on the summits schedule. Confirmed congressional speakers include Senators Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Ted Cruz (R-Tx.), and Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Representatives Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), and others.
When asked how he would grade the presidency thus far as a conservative voter, Mr. Bauer gladly obliged saying, as Former Undersecretary of Education during the Reagan Administration, he likes to give report cards. I would give him a B+ and the only reason I wouldnt give him a higher grade is because he hasnt had a chance to deal with all the test questions yet. But on Supreme Court appointments, hes already done on the Supreme Court what Hillary Clinton would not have done. Bauer said that he was also pleased with the presidents rebuilding of the American military and his willingness to fight cultural issues.
I believe that if members of Congress will be as aggressive in supporting the president in some cases as they were on defeating Judge Moore in Alabama, then we will see President Trump accomplish a lot more, added Mr. Bauer referencing another conference speakerJudge Roy Moore who just won the Republican Senate nomination in Alabama.
The Value Voter Summit is an annual event in Washington D.C. attended by thousands of conservations from nationwide. According to Bauer, values voters consider the beliefs of their faith and teaching of their faith in how they approach politics. Bauer said it brings together people who are pro-life, pro-family, who believe in smaller government, lower taxes, and a strong America foreign policy. And who, by the way, dont take a knee during our national anthem, added Bauer with a grin.
Registration for the summit begins on Thursday, October 12, and the event closes Sunday with a morning worship service.
Are these Value Organizations AWOL in fighting the Swamp?
Health and Human Services has a “final” meeting to confirm their anti-family agenda for 2020 and 2030 on Oct 16. I say anti-family because for all future 2020 and 2030 efforts, HHS plans to focus on 35 factors that impact health. These factors include tobacco, alcohol, drugs, housing, guns, transportation, reproductive rights, climate change, poverty, etc.
No where is it mentioned, let alone recognized, that intact families are the single most important factor in people’s health, both individually and collectively.
Of course the role of religion is not mentioned either. I live and work beside a lot of Black Democrats. You had better believe that their Christian religion is the #1 factor in their health based on the way they talk and advise each other. When a co-worker is sick, the advice is for the sick person to get right with God.
Are these Values organizations so busy looking at their navel that they don’t have time to see the HHS world?
