GOP donors say Senate RINOs hurting the party — and they’re right

This #neverTrump attitude among RINOs in the Senate is costing the Republican Party support.

Major Republican donors are lamenting inaction in D.C. on major campaign pledges including tax reform and the repeal of Obamacare as a major reason why fundraising is down, placing most of the blame on #neverTrump #RINOs in the Senate.

As reported by Fox News, political fundraiser Dan Palmer said Saturday that raising money for coming races has been difficult thanks to the obstinance of so-called “Republicans” (like John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins and a handful of others).

“I’ve been around Republican politics for 30 some years and I’ve never seen it tougher,” Palmer told Fox News’ America’s News Headquarters.

A GOP moderate is nothing but a RINO.

It isn’t costing the Republican Party financial support.
People are giving money directly to candidates they support.
What it is affecting is Republican Party leadeship control.

And that is a very good thing.

A GOP moderate is nothing but a RINO.

A GOP moderate in 2017 is what would have been known as a Democratic moderate in 1997. They are Democrats, for all intents and purposes.

It’d be a much shorter list to just list those who are NOT RINOs.

so-called “Republicans” (like John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins and a handful of others).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Far more than a handful.
We need new Republicans.
Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio, Gardner, Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson, Blunt, Johnson, Toomey, Capito, Rounds, Fischer, Collins, Wicker, Sasse, Ernst, Young, Boozman and Shelby are all undocumented Democrats in R jerseys.
There’s probably over a hundred more in the House.
Why would *anyone*, Republican or Democrat, support an elected pig doing nothing but working on their own personal behalf? I’m completely uninterested in folks who are trying to emulate the Clintons in terms of how much they can steal. That unfortunately describes 2/3rds the people in DC.
This.
The dirty little secret is there's not enough support in the Senate to overturn Obamacare or pass tax reform. A significant proportion of Republicans want things to stay just the way they are.
Also, they're doing everything in their power to prevent any legislative victories for President Trump.
It's a big club...and you ain't in it.
You are absolutely correct. People seem to forget that senators often vote contrary to their beliefs in order to placate their constituents. They make sure they have just enough votes to stop progress and usually the spoilers are those whose reelections won’t be due for 4 - 6 years.
Funny, they keep calling me looking for money and I tell them to pound sand for the same reasons except I tell them the party it self is just as bad.
They call me almost daily and they still don’t get that I am not giving. Its fun to vent on them so I pick up the phone. You’d think they would have notes and not waste their time.
I’d agree, that too.
Of course Republican In Name Only pretty much infers that.
Fortunately I don’t get the calls but, over the past 13 years, have received AT LEAST 100 of their junkmail requests for money. I tear them up and send the whole thing back to them in THEIR postpaid envelopes.
As you wonder, I too wonder why they don’t have enough sense to remove me from their mailing lists for good. If nothing else, this shows how they waste time in your case and time and money in my case—cause enough NOT to contribute!
