Twitter Blocks Marsha Blackburn's Campaign Video Over Mention of Planned Parenthood's

Twitter blocked a Senate campaign ad for Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) Monday over her comment in the ad that she “fought Planned Parenthood and we stopped the sale of unborn baby body parts.”

The Associated Press reports that “Twitter found that statement to be inflammatory and ‘likely to evoke a strong negative reaction.’” A Twitter representative reportedly told Blackburn’s vendors that they “would be allowed to run the rest of the video if the flagged statement is omitted.”

This means that the Blackburn campaign can’t pay to promote the video on Twitter, but it can still be linked to from YouTube and other media platforms.

That’s just what Blackburn did, tweeting to her followers that Twitter “shut down our video ad, claiming it's "inflammatory" & "negative." Join me in standing up to Silicon Valley ? RETWEET our message!”

The reference to stopping “the sale of unborn baby body parts" is likely a reference to Blackburn’s time as chairwoman of the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives.

The congressional investigative panel was called for following the release of undercover videos by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) in summer of 2015 which appeared to show Planned Parenthood officials discussing the harvesting of unborn baby parts for profit. When the videos were initially released in 2015, even Hillary Clinton called the footage “disturbing.”

Following the release of the videos and just after the Congressional panel was formed, Planned Parenthood announced that it would no longer take reimbursements for fetal tissue donations.

The pro-life organization Live Action ran into similar problems with Twitter in June and were told, in order to be allowed to advertise, they had to “delete all tweets related to: the group’s undercover investigations; the Center for Medical Progress undercover investigations; images and videos of abortion procedures, including but not limited to late-term abortions; content related to defunding Planned Parenthood, including petitions; ultrasound images; and any links to sections of the Live Action website containing videos with any of the above content.”

Chilling Evidence Shows Planned Parenthood Selling Body Parts: “How’s the Pancreas Forecast Today?”

A new batch of evidence from the Congressional panel investigating Planned Parenthood reveals some disturbing exchanges between the buyers and sellers of aborted baby body parts.

Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn, who chairs the Select Panel on Infant Lives, sent the evidence to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services this week along with a letter asking HHS to investigate possible violations by Planned Parenthood and the organ harvesting company StemExpress.

The newly uncovered evidence points to multiple potential violations of federal laws based on emails between the companies, invoices, contracts for the aborted babies’ body parts and other documents.

Some of the email exchanges are gruesome in nature. In one correspondence, an individual asks, “How is the pancreas forecast today – any possible procurements?” lannedparenthood213

Others involve individuals who want aborted babies’ skulls, brains and limbs. One read, “i also wanted to put in another order of 4 normal fetal brains … please send me a quote for the same.”

Here’s more from The Federalist: This email raises questions about whether Planned Parenthood illegally altered abortion procedures to fulfill the orders for organs. Rather than performing abortions and then sending StemExpress whatever organs they happened to obtain, it seems the abortion clinics were under pressure to meet expectations. In the past, Planned Parenthood abortionists have admitted on camera to altering abortions in order to get the maximum number of organs from the infants.

Another document shows a list of bonus payments that StemExpress employees received for “specimens.” The list shows bonuses of up to $75 per specimen for hearts, brains and lungs and up to $35 for kidneys, tongues and ears.

StemExpress employees also had access to patients’ private medical records, potentially a violation of HIPPA.

In a letter to HHS, Cong Blackburn wrote: The Panel’s investigation uncovered a series of business contracts between StemExpress, a tissue procurement business, and several abortion clinics. These contracts included provisions for the payment of fees by StemExpress to the abortion clinic for fetal tissue and maternal blood. StemExpress then resold the fetal tissue and blood to researchers.

… In particular the Panel’s investigation has uncovered information indicating that StemExpress and Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (“PPMM”), Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific (”PPSP”) and Family Planning Specialists Medical Group (“FPS”) … committed systematic violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPPA”) privacy rule from about 2010 to 2015. These violations occurred when the abortion clinics disclosed patients’ individually identifiable health information to StemExpress to facilitate the TPB’S efforts to procure human fetal tissue for resale. This complaint is against each of these entities, and we request a swift and full investigation by the Office of Civil Rights in the Department of Health and Human Services.

<><> In the sixth video: Holly O’Donnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: “There were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.” <><> In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly O’Donnell described the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. “‘You want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.”
