security guard is a dufus or a player.

Ok, what we heard again today was that the security guard responded to a ‘open door’ alarm (the smoke alarm within-one -minute story has disappeared into the ozone) - the ‘open door’ was a) the suite or b) ‘a few doors down’ or c) both

We heard from sources that Paddock had ‘personal protective equipment’ in the room (escape theory basis?)

We also heard that the shooter had ‘screwed the door of the stairway’ as a means to ‘barracade’ it. (which one would need a drill or power driver or whatever)

We heard that the security guard heard ‘drilling’ coming from the suite (as far away as the elevator) “but it was not completed” whatever that means.

Then we hear that the guard was down at the end of the hall for the entire time and he was not the reason the firing stopped. Which begs the question, why did the firing stop, then?

So, while I’m scratching my head, I’m wondering if the drilling was the shooter securing or unsecuring the stairs, which were 3 feet from the suite, inside a little alcove... (with a 3ft serving cart convenient - that was allegedly further down the hall earlier)...I’m also wondering just when Mr. Guard called for backup, or why he didn’t exit, stage elevator, to get help at the first shots towards him? How many bursts were fired at him? Why’d he sit there for 200 rounds worth? What did he do when the gunfire turned away from him? Did he go into a guest room and use the phone to call for help?

And then there’s the guy who claimed to be in room 134 - the event and concert planner dude from LA that was the toast of the Melbourne interview circuit.

This case has more turns than Lombard Street.

If he screwed the stairwell door so it wouldn’t open, then he’d have been on the stairwell side. That means he couldn’t shoot the security guard from inside the room. If he was drilling and screwing from the hallway side (makes no sense, but I’ll play along) then the guard could have seen him, confronted him and was shot. But why just in the leg and not a kill shot so he couldn’t notify the cops?

That would also mean the shooter blocked his escape.

What stopped the shooting? If the cops are now admitting the shooting went on for several minutes after they arrived, then were any holes in the door going into the room from their guns? Or were they hiding in the safety of the elevator all that time?

This is getting weirder and weirder.
