It's possible. If a 5.56 mm round went through the door first, it's likely that only a part of a remaining bullet core penciled through or into the leg.

This is not unreasonable, particularly with full-auto. The shooter started out on the wrong angle and probably dumped most of his magazine at the wrong angle. I'd guess one section of the opposite wall (the wrong section) is very dead.

Define “later”.
I heard the full police scanner audio from the time they were called to when the first breached Paddock’s door. I heard an officer radio in that they have a security guard wounded or shot. Now maybe they weren’t aware he was shot for a few minutes, but they definitely called it in before they breached Paddock’s room.
