I lived there for more than two years. The island has a larger middle class than any Hispanic country and the problem lies not in the people themselves but that the democrats were placed in charge and have ruined the place at the top. The people are very capable and the place could be a model for the world had the liberals not taken control early on. No, elpadre is not Hispanic - Scot/Irish heritage.
