“Pigeon was paid $388,000 for lobbying efforts aimed at the legalization of internet gambling by an online gaming company based in Montreal”

Some years ago it seems all of a sudden gambling across the nation was legalized and suddenly casinos popped up everywhere. Internet gambling followed suit.

I’ve long suspected there is nothing but illegal push behind the scenes from those who would prosper in this whole thing.

This is just one confirmation of my suspicion.

Be aware that NYS has odd names for its courts:

The Supreme Court of the State of New York includes 62 courts--one Supreme Court for each County. These courts are the highest trial courts in New York State, and are of general jurisdiction.

The New York Supreme Courts are not New York's courts of last resort. The Court of Appeals is the highest court in New York.
