LAS VEGAS (KTNV) - Mandalay Bay staff did not call Las Vegas police until after Stephen Paddock had already begun firing on the concertgoers, according to "World News Tonight" on ABC.
Their information comes from an anonymous source who has reviewed records from the hotel-casino.
According to the report, Mandalay Bay staff did not call police when security guard Jesus Campos reported internally that someone was shooting on the 32nd floor. Nor did they call police when building engineer Stephen Schuck also reported internally that someone was firing at him on the 32nd floor.
About six minutes after shots were fired inside the hotel, Paddock began firing outside at the crowd, according to Sheriff Joe Lombardo.
MGM Resorts spokesperson Debra DeShong wrote in a statement on Tuesday that the company does not believe this timeline is accurate:
This remains an ongoing investigation with a lot of moving parts. As evidenced by law enforcement briefings over the past week, many facts are still unverified and continue to change as events are under review. We cannot be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated publically, and we believe what is currently being expressed may not be accurate.We understand the public’s desire for information and the importance of getting our community and the public at large the information they deserve, and we are doing everything we can to support law enforcement’s efforts to do so. Therefore, it is not appropriate for us to comment further at this time on what remains an open matter for law enforcement.

10:08: First reports of shots fired at the festival — but it's initially unclear where they're coming from.
"We've got shots fired ... at the Route 91. Sounded like an automatic firearm."
"It's coming from upstairs! From the Mandalay Bay. Upstairs at Mandalay Bay. Halfway up, I see the shots coming from Mandalay Bay — halfway up!"
"We have an active shooter! We have an active shooter inside the fairgrounds!"
10:10: Officers report casualties at the concert.
"Just advising, there are people down on stage left."
"Shots fired from Mandalay Bay. There's many people down stage left."
10:12-15: A team deploys in front of Mandalay Bay, while police still try to determine the source of the gunfire.
"We're in front of Mandalay Bay. We're trying to see where the shots are coming from. If anyone can advise if they're coming from Mandalay."
"It sounds like it's either Mandalay or Luxor. We cannot tell."
"North of Mandalay Bay! It's coming out a window."
"Flashes in the middle of Mandalay Bay on the north side. Kind of on the west tower, but towards the center of the casino, one of the middle floors."

10:20-25: Conflicting reports on the shooter's activities.

"We're getting from civilians saying there might have been three shooters."
"We've interviewed multiple people leaving the concert venue ... saying that there have been multiple people that are shot or were shooting in the concert venue."
10:25-32: A clearer idea of the shooter's location emerges, and a team gets to the gunman's floor.
"It's Room 135 on the 32nd floor. I need SWAT."
"We have a four-man element at the very end of the hall."
"We have a security officer also shot in the leg on the 32nd floor. He's standing by by the elevator."
"He shot down the hallway and hit a security guard."

Got married at the little Church across the street from Mandalay, was going to visit to renew on our 20th next year, but squashed that when Vegas legalized pot.
Now apparently mass murder without motive or palliative measures is supposed to be accepted.
Vegas is screwed.
This is such a massive cover up its beyond obvious. Just don’t know who the Mandalay Bay is covering up for..this “Security Guard” something is fishy about this guy for sure. Haven’t been to Vegas since 2007 would love to go back(Of course, the buffets!) last time I was there we ate at Luxor and Rio, good food :-)
It is my opinion that one of the fatalities of this disaster will be MGM corp which will pay a billion dollars in damages for negligence in this case.
I suppose the guard and maintenance man only had radios. too bad they didn’t have phones and call 9-11 themselves.
