It’s nowhere near as bad now as it was in 1968. The biggest difference is that no one is being drafted to fight in the ugly unsuccessful Vietnam war.

Regarding race relations, there is so much welfare now with ghetto dwellers being placated with free food, free health care, free cell phones and easy access to cannabis. Plus race relations have improved enormously. Blacks and other minorities are protected classes with easier access to job and educational opportunities that have allowed a growing middle class of minority citizens.

Yeah, there are anarchists, especially groups like Antifa and BLM, but any support they have now will diminish over time.

No, 1968 was far worse.

**No, 1968 was far worse.**

Add to the mix the assassination of Martin Luther King, and the murder of Bobby Kennedy by a Palestinian immigrant. Nixon probably would never have been President.

Then there is Walter Cronkite single handed giving South Vietnam to the North with his “We can’t win this war!” statement when the North Vietnamese were planning to ask for peace terms.

“No, 1968 was far worse.”

I think that’s true in substance - but the hyperbole of the unhinged left today is unprecedented in modern history.

The willingness of the MSM to give up even the pretense of objectivity and to unashamedly embrace utter lies and double standards - is just mind boggling.

And there is a vocal element in the leftist public that eats it up, unaware of how foolish they appear.

I’m hoping it’s like a death rattle - they have swallowed the poison pill of dishonesty and fake narratives - they are already the walking dead but just don’t know it.

They are absolutely sure Trump will be impeached any day now and that false hope is their life’s blood. Every day that goes by and Trump is not impeached leaves them all the more confused, desperate and loud.

One can hope, right?
