Hosting the reigning Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins at the White House on Tuesday, U.S. president Donald Trump lauded the team as role models on and off the ice, touting the Pens' chance at a three-peat in 2017-18 and calling the group "incredible patriots."
"You are true champions and incredible patriots," Trump told the team, as seen on CBS News.

WIthout looking hard at the roster, I know that Guentzel is a Yank, the second to last 2 to skate the cup on the ice last season, passing it to fellow UNO alum Josh Archibald. Kesel is a yank as well, and hopefully not left off TeamUSA again.
Regardless of their home country, I have to believe these men would never take a knee or raise their fist in anger while the flag of their country was being present with it’s anthem being played. Same for pretty much every guy on every NHL/AHL/CHL/USHL/NCAA roster.
If these guys weren’t blessed with the opportunity and ability to play the game they love AND get paid while doing so, they’d have regular jobs like the rest of us. As opposed to sitting in a government lobby with a number waiting to take a paternity test.
Don’t care where the players are from. The team is from Pittsburgh. I doubt he would invite the Montreal Canadians to the White House.

One cuck 4th liner forth liner for the Lightning raised his fist. The team expressed support after he got so-called death threats... loser has also been a healthy scratch ever since.
Local TV didn’t show Brown... I watched the game and only saw coverage from CBC and ESPN after the fact.
Considering how many fake attacks have been revealed, I would not be surprised if threats against him turned out to be fake.
