“We believe this agreement is an important instrument to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran,”

Meanwhile their own intelligence service reported recently that since the agreement was signed the Mullahs in Tehran have made 32 different attempts to acquire technology and equipment in Germany that is banned for sale to Tehran because it would be used for nuclear weapons or ballistic missile programs.

The entire EU political class has their heads in the sand.

What are they really upset about? Their companies may not get the business deals they want. That, and that alone is why they wanted the deal and won’t pull out of it themselves. Its blood money.

“...would drive a wedge between Europe and the US.” The wedge between the USA and Western Europe has been there for more than two decades. At every turn the EU bureaucrats have opposed the US. France is a sometime and very reluctant friend. NATO is a sham. London has given way to Londonistan and its Lord Mayor is a Yankeephobe. Ireland issues a stamp commemorating Che Guevara. Italy and Spain don’t count. Etc., etc., etc. When you hear the wedge argument, scrutinize carefully the proponent. Likely it is a decadent east coast elitist who enjoys hobnobbing with Eurotrash.
