Re Germany declared war on us:
I think that if Hitler could have had a do-over, he would have taken one here. But, we probably would have gotten involved anyway—FDR wanted to, and Winston Churchill was understandably urging him to do more than just supply materiel.

No, he would not have. The point of the Molotov-Ribbentrop was to keep Russia off his back so he could fight on one front, including the Atlantic, and secure that before turning eastward. He actually did think he was going to succeed in conquering the planet.

Only a matter of time, Britain was fighting with us against Japan, and thus any restrictions on aiding Britain were gone. Only a matter of time before the Germans would provide the Casus Belli.

I hate to break this news to ya but I have talked to a lot of former East Germans before and after unification with West Germany and they all tell me the same thing.
If Hitler would not have invaded France, The Netherlands, Belgium and other countries.
They actually would have wanted Hitler to gain back lost German lands which are in Poland, Austria, etc.
This is the thinking of a lot of former East Germans.
We know Hitler was a tyrant and a lot of the German folks were blinded from the words of this tyrant Hitler.
