OBL was kept animate until long after his physical demise in Tora Bora for political reasons. Bush needed him to be alive and threatening so that the Democratic Congress would not declare the One Enemy dead and the war over. Then, of course, eventually Obama had to have domebody killed and dumped in the ocean, call him OBL and no one could prove otherwise.
Accurate assessment.
Totally agree with logic and conclusion.
I am told the Asayish (Kurdish for security) are absolutely amazing at determining who are the bad guys and the good guys.
I came to that conclusion from several sources.
My Afghan vet and still serving son tells me the same. It is third hand because he has heard it from more than a couple of Iraq vets but he says they are quite confident.
