I knew this would happen. Iran’s proxies and the Kurds are allies only against the force that had threatened to wipe them all out. As soon as that force is gone the war is on between The Kurds and the Iranists. Iran will not easily tolerate a Kurdish State. Iraq here is irrelevant as an independent entity. It is a subset of Iran.

Will this mean the US will side with Kurds against Turkey and Iran?

Where will Russia be?

Bad situation.

Can US and Russia step in and cooperate enough to stabilize this?
