Has Trump finally seen the light on ethanol and the RFS?

But then in September, the EPA truly infuriated the biofuel industry by floating the idea of bringing the proposed total even lower, and of revisiting other renewable fuel requirements for 2018 and 2019 finalized under the Obama administration.

The proposal is in line with what the oil and gas industry want (those energy producers think the RFS adds to the cost of refining petroleum and wants to see Congress rewrite the underlying 2005 law). “Until Congress acts to address the structural flaws with the RFS,” Frank J. Macchiarola of the American Petroleum Institute wrote in a letter to the EPA earlier this year, “lowering the volume requirements in 2018 is the most effective short-term way for EPA to address the problems created by the RFS.”

Revisions? Never been there. They might have an equivalent bread, but Icky Bread is probably a trademarked name.

Could be. Mrs. rktman has an icky t shirt. LOL! Guess we need to try the bread. I’ll be at Paddy and Irene’s tonight for a jam session and I could stop by next door and get some bread I suppose.

heh heh

The FDA reg didn’t last long, and applied to beer for drinking, not to fuel ethanol. It was gone by the start of 2015, so it only lasted a few months.

“”I’d have to call BS on that one.””

Same here, this grass fed beef crap is bullchit. We’ve raised cattle for over 100 years on this ranch and if people actually knew what the (Grass Fed) pasture raised cows were eating they probably would eat them. Weed’s, shrubs, cactus, dead carcasses are just a start. They’ll eat old wire, tires and any plastics they can find. I’ve even had them eat the plug wire off of a running AJAX motor, you know that one had to make her udder shudder! Those that do actually get finished off before butchering are probably eating better than they have their whole life.

Ethanol should be drunk and not wasted on engines.

“Yep. This silliness needs to end.”

And you will see the same sort of nonsense with Tax Accountants as Trump tries to simplify our tax code. Groups build businesses around stupid government laws, then when the insanity is exposed and change is in the offing, these special interests crank up their “K” St. lobbyists and starts laying money on the Congress to just leave things as they are. It’s also why getting rid of Obamacare is problematic. It’s bad for the citizens, but too many special interests have made a business out of it and don’t want to give up what they’ve built.

Get yourself some “Ethanol Shield” stabilizer. Available at Home Depot. I saved a new generator with their product “Mechanic in a Bottle” after using Stabil that failed.

Best I’ve ever used and I’ve used ALL of them. A distant second is “StarTron”.

Stabil is garbage.

I’ll even use the manufactured fuels for chainsaws or any sporadic use engine.

I’ve stored equipment for over two years with Ethanol Shield treated fuel with no problem.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been using Stabil in my non-ethanol fuel cans.

I had to cut the ethanol gas with kerosene or diesel to condition the lines , preventing the oxygenates from corroding them.

It works like oxydants in your body, oxydising everything and destroying.

I noticed at our gas station, the higher the octane, the less ethanol is in it. Does that tell you something?

My father in law in Denver, has a tank on site and gets gas delivered to it, as he refuses to use the ethanol crap at local stations.

” Cows were not made to eat corn. All it is does is fatten them up.”

Beef is graded on the fat content, grass fed beef is poor quality.
