Groups build businesses around stupid government laws, then when the insanity is exposed and change is in the offing, these special interests crank up their “K” St. lobbyists and starts laying money on the Congress to just leave things as they are. It’s also why getting rid of Obamacare is problematic. It’s bad for the citizens, but too many special interests have made a business out of it and don’t want to give up what they’ve built.
