It felt like a little bit of history was being made on Monday Night Football as the Tennessee Titans finally snapped their 11-game consecutive losses to the Indianapolis Colts last night.
However, as the Titans stopped the streak going to a clean dozen with a 36-22 win and social media sparked with ESPN not showing the playing of the national anthem, another type of history was also being made. Last night’s primetime broadcast of the NFL game stumbled to a season low with a 6.1 in metered market results.
In a season stained by overall ratings declines and political controversy, that NFL Week 6 rating is down 13 % from the early numbers of the much tighter October 9th match-up between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears.
That MNF season low of last year went on to deliver a 3.7 rating among adults 18-49 and a total viewership of 10.3 million. It’s worth noting that the peek of last week’s MNF came in the halftime on the Disney-owned cabler when the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer was debuted.
Year-to-year, last night’s MNF dipped just over 3% in the MM results from the Arizona Cardinals 28-3 demolition of the New York Jets on October 17, 2016. With a rating that matched the Jets score, that demo season low game eventually drew a 3.0 among the 18-49s and 8.4 million viewers, an almost audience bottom.
Last night’s Titans vs. Colts battle peaked in both the 10:30 – 10:45 PM and 11:15-11:30 PM ET slots with a 6.9.
On a day that will see the NFL owners huddle in NYC to discuss the protests that have started many a game this season and a possible rule change around the national anthem, we’ll update with more MNF numbers and other ratings later today as they come in.

Can no one at the NFL read a spreadsheet? Or a ratings graph? Do they honestly not understand what is going on? Do they not care? The owners are supposed to be smart people and they employ Goodell. Do they not care as their business is collapsing? This is just baffling.

It really makes me glad that so many of my fellow Americans have made the effort to show the NFL and ESPN just how awful we think they are.
Time for the NFL to triple-down!
Ratings peaked when the ALCS game between the Yankees and Astros ended. That's when I tuned into MNF.

Disney owns ESPN and ABC. The Disney Gays, who control ESPN/Disney/ABC are probably the ones, who started their BLM thugs/slaves, aka National Felon League/NFL thugs kneeling during our anthem. If freepers are really serious about this issue, they can do two things this week or weekend:
1. Cancel/cut your cable and go to a good internet to stream the tv shows they watch. Disney/ABC/ESPN and the above are owned by Disney. Each month they get a huge share of your monthly cable bill. Cut your cable, and they lose that monthly $* chunk/bite out of your bill. You will save a lot of money each month. *Estimated to be at a minimum of 9$’s/month/user.
2. Use Sling Blue TV for streaming the channels you will watch. Sling Blue does not carry ESPN/Disney/ABC. So, the evil Disney/ESPN/NFL/ABC gay hate America liberals get nothing from you.
Talking tough and posting pompous threats on Free Republic is cheap and not effective.
Cutting their economic tv take at your home is like using a laser guided smart bomb to cut off/destroy their financial tentacles/testicles.
Without their monthly financial take from your cable tv, the NFL will fade away like a bad dose of the GI Trots.
If you really want to smack/hurt ESPN/NFL/Disney/ABC just do #1 and #2 above this week.
You will save a lot of money each month besides feeling better.

An apology or anything else they do will not be sincere so it would be worthless and people know it.
It’s too late and pro ball will never recover..
When ever embracing any ways or ideologues of the left will always result in reduced ecomonic activity.

This taking the knee during our national anthem is a wedge issue were the blind are leading the blind into the ditch.
It’s soul purpose is not protesting the so called “ injustices “ by white police officers against black law breakers but rather it’s a wedge to conquer and divide by stoking up the flames of racial tentions.
Even if the owners of the N.F.L. abide by their demands it will never be enough until the white man fully pays for some social injustices imaginary or real.
This thing needs to be nipped in the bud.

It’s interesting to look at MNF football ratings over the years. I was able to find a chart that went only to 2002 but it shows that 30 years ago the average rating was 17.4, meaning that the audience for this game has collapsed.

I only turned it on toward the end because the baseball game was such a stinker and there wasn’t any hockey on.
