“Jefferson Davis, although infamous in his own right, would probably not be too happy about a diverse school promoting the education of the very individuals he fought to keep enslaved being named after him,” Davis Magnet IB PTA President Janelle Jefferson told the board.
Jefferson said the school, where 98 percent students are black, wanted to rename the campus after Obama “to reflect a person who fully represents ideals and public stances consistent with what we want our children to believe about themselves.”

OK ... what’s that stuff in the tray. I don’t mean the “Red Delicious” apple (a wretched choice IMO). I mean the brownish goo. It looks like a cat puked in the tray and they spread it out.
There goes the neighborhood. That entree looks like something that comes OUT of my body.
So are bribery, blackmail and treason on the curriculum? Will they fly the Kenyan flag?
And I’m sure that if it hasn’t already, the school will go the way of the neighborhoods that have roadways named after MLK.

I bet they want children to believe:
1) we’ll NEVER succeed
2) it’s whitey’s fault
3) nothing we can do (except kneel in protest)
4) no reason to study/learn/try.
5) just have fun causing trouble and getting attention (’community organizing’ if you include others) and distracting teachers from helping the few students who aren’t buying into the first 4 points

They need to de-segregate that school. I am sure the 2% minority students if represented as normal demographics would think of a different school name. Surely the 98% students are holding them down.
