They're not inherently weak, but they are subjugated by a political/regulator class that feigns extreme, vain sensitivities to regulate against them and enslave them. People who believe what the people of that class are saying might also believe that the political/regulator folks are very paranoid and excessively afraid (e.g., of armed blue collar people), worshiping animals and trees, etc.
It's also interesting to note that our most infamous of recent mass murderers all had families that were quite well off with large incomes. So the paranoia of our most influential political people is misdirected. Most of the insanity may well be more likely among those who are more in style, who live further from our natural surroundings and further from more natural human behaviors.
