In dossier probe, Fusion GPS asks court to stop House from seeing bank records
Washington Examiner ^ | October 20, 2017 | by Byron York

On the same day, Oct. 4, that the House Intelligence Committee subpoenaed three employees of the opposition research firm Fusion GPS to testify in the Trump dossier investigation, the committee also subpoenaed TD Bank for Fusion's bank records.

Now, according to a source familiar with the situation, Fusion has asked a U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., judge to prevent the bank from complying with the subpoena.

Fusion has flatly refused to provide any information on its funding to either House or Senate investigators. The two officials refused to answer all questions from the House this week, and in an appearance before Senate Judiciary Committee investigators in August, Simpson also refused to answer the question.

It is not unprecedented for Congress to subpoena bank records. As a general rule, according to congressional investigators, banks usually comply without much fuss. But of course, this is not a routine case.

I’m sure the media is all over this failure to cooperate.

Only one reason to hide this: DEMOCRAT corruption will be exposed. Probably goes all the way to Barack Hussein Soetoro “Obama”.

I’m confused. Why wouldn’t Fusion GPS want to testify? They love America, right? Don’t they want the truth to come out?

Due to all of the Obama era rules passed while the public’s attention was on Obamacare, I do not believe the bank has a choice.

They’re shredding all the evidence as fast as possible.

In IRS cases they have NO trouble getting bank records. Maybe they need to get the IRS bank guys involved.

...asked a U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., judge to prevent the bank from complying with the subpoena.

What are the odds that the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. would see it their way? Slim to none?

Ha, ha, ha, ha....LOLOL...pant, pant. Some court clerk had the order drafted before a judge was even selected. Any judge on that court would be happy to sign the draft order.

This seems pretty good evidence this wasn’t funded by a Republican. That they would gladly release.

Throw them in jail until they comply. That’s the only thing criminals understand.

“They’re shredding all the evidence as fast as possible.”

Real tricky with current technology... Both banks would have images of all checks and ACH transactions between Institutions, as would the clearing houses..... If one bank removes a transaction, the day won’t balance.

You can disappear people, but not their bank transactions.

My bet is that the banking history is a Rosetta stone piece of information exposing pay offs to multiple people in politics and business.

It’s pretty well established in the federal courts that the primaries have no rights when it comes to quashing third party subpoenas. Oh, they might find a district judge who’ll do it, but they’ll lose fairly quickly on appeal.
