The Obama Administration’s Uranium One Scandal
National Review ^ | October 21, 2017 | Andrew McCarthy

Not only the Clintons are implicated in a uranium deal with the Russians that compromised national-security interests.

Let’s put the Uranium One scandal in perspective: The cool half-million bucks the Putin regime funneled to Bill Clinton was five times the amount it spent on those Facebook ads — the ones the media-Democrat complex ludicrously suggests swung the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump.

Think about this: The investigation of Russian racketeering in the American energy sector was the kind of spectacular success over which the FBI and Justice Department typically do a bells-n-whistles victory lap — the big self-congratulatory press conference followed by the media-intensive prosecutions . . . and, of course, more press conferences.

Here . . . crickets.

And the FBI Director at that time? .....ROBERT MUELLER.

Hillary Clinton was part of the Obama Administration. All her crimes during that period are Obama’s crimes.

Every morning, Mueller wakes up, goes into the bathroom, and stares into the face of the person at the center of the Russian influence peddling scandal.

How are these crimes if they are only treason,
murder, and then covered up?

Like the sound of tree with no one
in the forest: THEY DO NOT EXIST.

.......the Obama administration approved the uranium deal with Russia (thus imperiling US ntl security). But this squared w/ the America-hating Obama's goal to diminish America's supremacy in the world. He relished doing this........

Obama made a concerted effort to know, for example, that Russia bribed its way into the American nuclear energy industry. Obama and Susan Rice passed the time time (A) listening in to phone conversations, (B) sifting through intel, and, (C) gathering information, from all over the globe.

ITEM--The FBI uncovered the Russian bribery using an undercover mole within the Russian nuclear industry to gather evidence from all manners of sources, including emails and recordings. These surreptitious communiques showed that Russia had gained access to Transport Logistics International, a trucking company, paying some $2.0 million in bribes in return for no-bid contracts. This violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. (Source: The Hill, op cit.)

ITEM---More egregiously, the evidence showed complicity between the Kremlin, the Clinton Foundation, Hillary Clinton, and the Obama administration. All of it suggests that Vladimir Putin backed 2016 Hillary. As the deal progressed, the gilding of the lily commenced, and uranium investors' donations to the Clinton Foundation to facilitate the uranium takeover, most assuredly found their way into financing Hillary’s campaign.

This will be the “straw that broke the camel’s back”. This is a big deal, not some insignificant pecadillo to be swept under the rug. How this is handled could determine the future of our nation.

The NYT report noted that these uranium investors also donated to the Clinton Foundation, as follows:

<><> Canadian mining mogul, Frank Giustra, globe-trotting pal of Bill donated $31.3 million and a pledge for $100 million more to the Clinton Foundation. Giustra built a company that later merged with Uranium One. Seems to have facilitated the uranium sell-off. Giustra has a "Clinton-connected foundation" in Canada and will not disclose donors.

<><> Canadian Ian Telfer—donated $2.35 million to the Clinton Foundation. Mining investor who was chairman of Uranium One when an arm of the Russian government, Rosatom, acquired it.

<><>Paul Reynolds—donated $1 million to $5 million to the Clinton Foundation Adviser on 2007 UrAsia-Uranium One merger. Later Reynolds helped raise $260 million for the company. Could be the money-laundering apprat.

<><>Frank Holmes-—donated $250,000 to $500,000 to the Clinton Foundation. Chief Executive of U.S. Global Investors Inc., which held $4.7 million in Uranium One shares in the first quarter of 2011.

<><> Canadian Neil Woodyer-—Founded Endeavour Mining with Giustra—donated $50,000 to $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation. Adviser to Uranium One.

<><> GMP Securities Ltd.-—Donating portion of profits to the Clinton Foundation. Worked on debt issue that raised $260 million for Uranium One. (Prime candidate for the money-laundering apparat---aided and abetted under cover of the "do-good foundations.")

Who paid Bill Clinton's $2.5 million commission and $500k speaking fee by a Moscow bank for brokering the sale of 20% of America's uranium deposits to Russia...giving Vladimir Putin and the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States?

as strategic US uranium deposits were sold off to Russia for Big Bucks
facilitated by Secy Clinton, as Bill globe-trotted to set up the deal.

In 2010, as he prepared to collect a $500,000 payday in Moscow from a Russian investment bank, Bill Clinton sought "clearance from Hillary's State Dept" to meet with a key board director of the Russian nuclear energy firm Rosatom. At that time Rosatom needed the Obama administration’s approval for a controversial uranium deal, government records show.

BACKSTORY---THE CLINTON FOUNDATION CONNECTION Hillary-era State Dept officials in fall 2009 - a year before the U.S. approved the uranium deal - had obtained an internal strategy document from Russia's main nuclear energy firm, Rosatom, that provided a warning about Moscow's intentions as it "flexes muscles" in uranium markets.

Later a memo surfaced that undercut Hillary's public story on the controversial Russian uranium deal, and its connection to the Clinton foundation.

In one cable sent to Hillary Clinton, US officials in Brussels warned Russia was about to strong-arm US ally Ukraine into a deal for "long-term supply of nuclear fuel" that could "shut" the US company Westinghouse out of the market and extend Moscow's influence over Europe. (Read more at circa.com ...)

THE NYT REPORTED: Money poured into The Clinton Foundation from a constellation of people with ties to Uranium One or UrAsia, the company that originally acquired Uranium One’s most valuable asset: the Kazakh mines. Without those assets, the Russians would have had no interest in the deal: “It wasn’t the goal to buy the Wyoming mines. The goal was to acquire the Kazakh assets, which are very good,” Mr. Novikov, the Rosatom spokesman, said in an interview.

BILLYBOOBOO TO THE RESCUEThis gambit by Bill Clinton (meddling in a foreign election) got the Russian uranium scheme going. Bill's calculated handshake was a bonanza for the Kazahk president's re-election. Nazarbayev responded in kind and signed-off on the initial phase of Russia's takeover of US uranium assets.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev greets former
president Clinton (L) in Almaty on September 6, 2005.

CIRCA 2015 A Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter claims that former President Bill Clinton falsely denied hosting a meeting with Kazakh officials when she tried to write a story that involved his foundation several years ago.

Jo Becker, who works on the newspaper's investigative desk, said Clinton only confirmed the meeting took place after she informed him there were photographs.

Clinton's role in a deal that involved Kazakhstan, the Russian government, and a man who donated millions to the president's charitable foundation were detailed in a story Becker published on Thursday.

That article revisited some of her earlier reporting and included information from the upcoming book "Clinton Cash," which is generating widespread headlines amid a flurry of reports suggesting it will raise serious questions about Clinton's family foundation.

The donor in question is Canadian mining executive Frank Giustra, a longtime friend of the former president who has given tens of millions to the Clinton Foundation in the past few years. (A couple of hours after the NYT story was published, Giustra issued a defiant statement. We've included that below.)

Becker initially wrote about the February 2007 meeting between Clinton, Giustra, and executives from the state-owned nuclear company Kazatomprom in 2008. The gathering took place at Clinton's home in Chappaqua, New York.

"When I first contacted both the Clinton foundation — Mr. Clinton's spokesman — and Mr. Giustra, they denied any such meeting ever took place," Becker recalled in footage aired by Fox News on Thursday.

However, Becker said Clinton and Giustra both changed their stories after she confronted them with evidence to the contrary.

"And then when we told them, 'Well we already talked to the head of Kazatomprom, who not only told us all about the meeting, but actually has a picture of him and Bill at the home in Chappaqua, and that he proudly displayed on his office wall.' They then acknowledged that yes, the meeting had taken place," Becker continued in the television interview.

The purpose of the meeting, then Kazatomprom President Moukhtar Dzhakishev told The Times, was to discuss Kazakhstan potentially buying a 10% stake in Westinghouse, a US nuclear company. Becker's 2008 story also noted one of Giustra's companies secured a deal to buy uranium deposits from Kazatomprom in 2005.

That agreement was made after Clinton accompanied Giustra on a trip to Kazakhstan. During the trip, Giustra and Clinton met with Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Clinton issued a public statement praising the Kazakh leader despite his questionable, antidemocratic record. The Times called the praise a "propaganda coup" for Nazarbayev. (he later "won relection" w/ an unbelievable 90% of the vote)

"Just months after the Kazakh pact was finalized, Mr. Clinton's charitable foundation received its own windfall: a $31.3 million donation from Mr. Giustra that had remained a secret until he acknowledged it last month. The gift, combined with Mr. Giustra’s more recent and public pledge to give the William J. Clinton Foundation an additional $100 million, secured Mr. Giustra a place in Mr. Clinton’s inner circle," wrote Becker and another reporter, Don Van Natta.

A spokesperson for the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership told Business Insider they are "working on a formal statement" in response to a request for comment on Thursday. Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership is an initiative of the Clinton Foundation that was cofounded by Clinton and Giustra in 2007. A Clinton Foundation spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

If President Trump and AG Sessions held a news conference and announced the immediate firing of Robert Mueller and staff, and the immediate firing of every Obama appointee still in office, and the start of a new DOJ investigation into the Clinton Foundation, the Uranium Deal and Hillary Clinton’s role in this deal, what would the news media and the “deep state”/Washington Insiders do?
