What’s more, the number of deaths in both countries (Vietnam and Cambodia) eclipsed the Vietnam War’s deaths by a wide margin.
I thought the complaints were that we supported the new regime and that meant that we had some responsibility for what they did.
Really, any foreign military dictatorship probably knows a lot better than the CIA who they want to kill.
