St. Peter’s connection with Turkey is that he was bishop of Antioch before going to Rome. Antioch is in an area which was seized by Turkey in 1939 after a rigged referendum (Turks had been 39% of the population of the area)—historically it was part of Syria. According to Wikipedia, the modern Turkish city of Antakya is expanding and when ruins of ancient Antioch are uncovered they are bulldozed.
Turks and the Ottoman Empire practiced some of the same subversion. Like the Jihadi’s, anything that does not agree with their story line, they destroy.
Thanks for the explanation.
