To: Blue House Sue

Defendant will appeal. Appeals court very well may grant a retrial.

The judge on the case is the presiding judge and has been on the bench nearly 10 years. At this point he isn’t concerned if he is overturned on letting the case go to the jury. I think it was the right call; she collapsed during closing and retrials are expensive and the Alabama court system is in woeful financial shape.

The Defendant was guilty as hell. Walked up to his 77 year old neighbor and shot him in the head, wish they could have brought capital charges.

This happen in my town. Ms. Darby was a good lawyer and a good lady. RIP Gloria Jean Darby.
