PROFILES IN DEMOCRAT DUMBNESS jarringly stupid security breach responses

I would not be surprised to read that Daily Caller’s ace reporter, Luke Roziak, has laughed himself to death. Luke had the unenviable job to seek out cowering Democrats, none of whom seemed eager to respond to Luke’s probing questions about the massive security breach conducted by Democrats’ IT staffers.

Democrats have claimed that they deplore computer hacking and view cyber-attacks as a “dangerous new frontier” that tends to upset their leisurely, do nothing, wealth-producing lives as elected members on Capitol Hill.

<><>For instance, take Cong Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She introduced an amendment aimed at the Trump administration-—Jared Kushner, in particular. Schultz’s amendment blocks “security clearance for any individual in a position in the Executive Office of the President, who is under a criminal investigation by a federal law enforcement agency for aiding a foreign government.” Yet Wasserman Schultz refused to fire her IT tech, Imran Awan, even after House law enforcement banned him from the House computer network. To be fair, Schultz did fire him AFTER he was arrested on bank fraud as he tried to abscond to Pakistan.

<><> Self-described “Master Legislator” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said she wasn’t familiar with the security breach issue “I haven’t followed that very closely,” she said. She shrugged at Wasserman Schultz’s continued employment of Imran Awan, saying “there are plenty of people who are under investigation who still have their jobs.”

<><> California Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu got tough-—he wrote a letter accusing Pres Trump of “jeopardizing national security” by not taking cyber protections seriously. Lieu emphasized that he himself had majored in computer science in college. Yet, Lieu, the computer whiz-kid, gave fraudster Imran’s brother Abid Awan computer access when the latter had a criminal record, a recent bankruptcy, a public lawsuit involving allegations of fraud in a car dealership.

Abid was sucking up our tax dollars as a putative govt employee at the same time Abid was on the govt payroll while running outside businesses. Abid worked IT for House Democrats amid widespread rumors that Abid’s numerous relatives on the House payroll were running a number of fraudulent schemes. The vacant Lieu seemed not to know (or care) that Abid’s business received $100,000 from an Iraqi politician who is a fugitive from the US Department of Justice.

“Tolerant and compassionate” Lieu did not fire Abid until March 10, more than a month after Cong Lieu learned of the Capitol Police investigation and after media reports that the Pakistani’s used high-tech devices to wiretap and extort their father’s widow.

Lieu spokesman, Jack Dannibale, did not respond to The Daily Caller’s request for comment — both after the congressman was informed of the criminal probe and after Lieu’s tough letter to Pres Trump. The Daily Caller reporter asked (a) what Lieu has done to determine if any of his congressional emails or files had been compromised, and,(b) what was done to prevent a recurrence?

<><> Missouri Democrat Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver said “Who? I don’t even know him,” adding that his chief of staff put Abbas on the payroll apparently without Cleaver’s knowledge or consent.

Incidentally, Cleaver has a unique ability——he can switch his intelligence level on and off whenever he feels like it.

In response to the security breach, Cleaver said, “I hear two sides of the story, some people say it’s because he’s Muslim that he’s being railroaded, other people say he made some bad decisions. I don’t know enough about it,” Cleaver told The Daily Caller. Assuming he was in his non-intelligence phase, Cleaver that it didn’t occur to him that crimes involving his IT guy could pose a risk to the security of his data.

“Emails? This is the first I’ve heard about that … You mean the one from the election?” Cleaver said. “This is the first I’ve heard of that. Cleaver insisted the reporter talk to him tomorrow “because I don’t know enough about it to be intelligent.” Nice to know Cleaver can turn his “intelligence” on and off at will, isn’t it?

<><> Pontificating DNC spokeswoman Adrienne Watson, still smarting over Hillary’s loss, changed the subject to the Russian meme. She asserted “Russians attacked the DNC in an effort to disrupt our election,” and President Donald Trump “has shown zero interest in protecting our country from future attacks.”

<><>The deputy chairman of the DNC, practicing Muslim Rep. Keith Ellison got up off his prayer rug and stepped up to the plate. He told the Daily Caller “I’m at a massive disadvantage because I don’t really know the issue at all.” But either the Minnesota Democrat or his staff did not seem particularly interested to find out that the Daily Caller had emailed both Brett Morrow, a spokesman for Ellison’s congressional office, and Eric Walker, a DNC spokesman, weeks prior with information and questions. Those emails went unreturned, and apparently did not result in a briefing on the Capitol Police investigation.

<><>NY House Democrat Cong Yvette Clarke’s office Approved $120k Write-off OF TECH Equipment Linked To Awan Brothers. Missing govt-issue equipment tied to NY Cong Yvette Clarke’s office supposedly included many iPhones and iPads, an official told The Daily Caller reporter. At $800 each, Cong Clarke’s $120,000 write-off would pay for 150 electronic items. Yet, Cong Clarke’s office, according to payroll records, has only 16 employees......why did Clarke need so many electronics for that small staff?

The govt-issue equipment would have been billed under Clarke’s former chief of staff, there 2010 to February 11, 2016 (when another person took over). Cong Clarke’s office refused to tell The Daily Caller which person signed the form, and why they did not fire Abid at that time, or why they did not alert authorities (not reporting knowledge of a crime IS a crime).

The Daily Caller reported that Cong Yvette Clarke’s chief routinely called a House help desk to inquire about the write-off process but did not ever convey the highly unusual scale of the dollar figure, the official said.

According to this story in the Daily Caller, her chief of staff casually signed off on what appears to be a theft ring operating inside the Democrat Congressional Caucus. The facts thus far suggest the Awan gang was running the oldest of scams......selling computer gear out the back door after first claiming it was stolen.

However, the Democrat member (or high-level staffer with financial responsibility in the member’s office) would still have to sign a voucher for each such purchase.

This raises questions regarding how Democrat Yvette Clarke wouldn’t have noticed (A) that tech equipment was being purchased, (B) in quantities a member’s office might not plausibly need, (C) but never actually materialized at the member’s office b/c it had been delivered to Imran’s residence.

NOTE: The missing $120,000 covers only Cong Yvette Clarke’s office. Democrats employing the Pakis have not been audited for similar patterns.......as yet.
