C’mon now. Are you telling me that people who have access to alcohol can’t do the same thing to themselves? I’ve been smoking since I was 14 and I’d consider myself a pretty productive member of society at age 45 who holds conservative views on most issues. But on this one, we just need to let people do their own thing b/c weed does help with chronic pain and nausea and when compared to the side effects from opioids, its much less destructive.
And I oppose calling alcoholism a disease as well, when it is a CHOICE. But you can see what happened there; it’s officially a disease. Opioid addiction (from recreational use) is now being designated a disease as well. Will pot not follow the same route?
