This makes me vaguely uneasy.

If Catalonia breaks away, who will ultimately end up in power there? I have read that there is a sizable migrant population there.

Back in the Middle Ages there was an attempt to conquer Europe by invading Spain across the Straits of Gibraltar. This incursion was eventually thrown back but it took many years to accomplish.

I'm sure I'm not the only one seeing history repeating itself.

At last - some clear thought on this thread. Spain proper remains "dar al-islam" no matter who is voting for what. Am wondering when the islamonuts are gonna make their move - a politically and financially chaotic Catalonia would produce an opening for a multi-sided conflict as to whom is going to ultimately rule around there, and how.
