How to Steele an Election
Steyn On-line ^ | October 27. 2017 | Mark Steyn

Posted on 10/28/2017 6:31:20 AM PDT by Twotone

From Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes:

"Mostly she was mad - mad that she'd lost and that the country would have to endure a Trump presidency... Hillary kept pointing her finger at Comey and Russia. 'She wants to make sure all these narratives get spun the right way,' this person said.

"That strategy had been set within twenty-four hours of her concession speech. Mook and Podesta assembled her communications team at the Brooklyn headquarters to engineer the case that the election wasn't entirely on the up-and-up. For a couple of hours, with Shake Shack containers littering the room, they went over the script they would pitch to the press and the public. Already, Russian hacking was the centerpiece of the argument."

"Mook" is campaign manager Robby of that ilk, and "Podesta" is John, her campaign chairman and, with his brother Tony Podesta, one of the two Podestas who founded the Podesta Group, now under investigation for violating the Foreign Agent Registration Act. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Notice Mr Allen and Miss Parnes' choice of words: Whether or not the election in reality "wasn't entirely on the up-and-up", Messrs Mook and Podesta and the rest of the Clinton team decided to "engineer the case" that it wasn't.

As Winston Churchill said, "Narratives are spun by the victors.*"

Yeah, spun the LYING way. We know now that the announcements James Comedy made were not to hurt Hitlery but to HELP her. First he made the announcement in July 2016 that he would not recommend Hitlery be charged for the ONE HUNDRED AND TEN FELONY violations of the espionage act, and then right before the election the news leaked that emails were on Anthony Weiners laptop, so in an act of desperation to save Hitlerys campaign, James Comedy did it again. This guy was ALWAYS in Hitlerys pocket

Mueller is now in Full Distraction Mode, distracting America away from this story, the real Russian Collusion story.

Interesting that if Hillary and her clan of evil doers spent as much time pre election as they did post election on getting her elected, she might have won. Lack of effort equals lack of results.

I wish I had written that.

Me too!

Great line. I believe it was Oscar Wilde who responded, “Don’t worry, you will...”

Anyway, does anyone feel that the Klinton Kill Korpse is coming out this weekend to make bloody examples of what awaits anyone saying anything to anyone about krimes?

The election was clearly won by Trump; the recounts in the three industrial states, WI, PA and MI, actually showed him gaining votes. But the smartest woman in the world, who mysteriously flunked the DC Bar exam, didn’t have the patriotism, concern or even consideration for her own voters, much less the rest of us, to graciously accept the results. I well remember Richard Nixon, the 1960 election was clearly stolen, certainly in Illinois and probably in Texas, but he had the grace and patriotism not to pursue an appeal or to fight his successor but to support him as needed. The Clintons are trash by comparison.

The most "salacious" (in James Comey's word) assertion of the dossier is that Trump likes getting urinated on by Russian hookers. Having met him, I regard this as most unlikely: He is a germaphobe who resents having to do all the unhygienic gladhanding required in American politics. I find it easier to imagine almost any other Republican bigshot enjoying the erotic frisson of micturition, if only from Chuck Schumer.

LOL!

It is ironic that if Hillary would have just accepted her defeat and went away quietly, none of this would have seen the light of day.

The dictionary should have a picture of Hillary next to the word HUBRIS.

A great writer, Steyn is - and he ends strongly;
“No man anywhere has ever been less in need of a “golden shower” than Donald J Trump. He is surrounded on all sides by powerful forces leaking on him incessantly.”

What’s amusing is that these idiots thought their propaganda would overturn an election.

I love Mark Steyn. My only quibble is this: Bush crediting British intelligence as the unimpeachable source for his belief that Saddam Hussein was seeking to acquire yellowcake from Niger.

Actually, Bush just said Africa, but apparently insiders knew it was Niger. Even Joe Wilson, in his NYT letter, admitted that Saddam did indeed approach sources in Niger seeking yellowcake. His point was that no one accepted the offer, for fear of sanctions.

Moreover, given that Iran is busily developing a nuclear program, it's silly to think Saddam Hussein wasn't.

I suspect that behind the scenes, the uniparty is furious at HRC and BHS.

Many things can be deduced from this scandal: Robert Mueller should retire, preferably somewhere far, far away. James Comey should be charged, convicted and jailed. So should senior figures in the Clinton campaign. And those large sections of the "intelligence community" that have gone rogue and spend more time subverting their own government than any foreign enemies need to be overhauled from top to toe, or, more likely, put out of business entirely.

Thus Washington's vast wilderness of distorting mirrors: as I told Tucker Carlson, everyone was colluding with the Russians except Trump - Hillary, the DNC, Democrat lawyers, the FBI, all frantically pointing fingers at the only non-colluding guy in the room. No man anywhere has ever been less in need of a "golden shower" than Donald J Trump. He is surrounded on all sides by powerful forces leaking on him incessantly.

Yes, reminds me of little children and teens who will expend ten times the energy it takes to do a chore just whining and complaining about it.
