That’s our system, innocent until proven guilty in court.
Also, attorneys are eagle-eyed when it comes to stories about their clients in the media. If they don’t have an “alleged” or “purported” in there, the shyster can claim a jury may have been influenced by the omission.
Sounds ridiculous, but it’s been this way forever.
