I understand the rationale behind continuing with the Village Halloween parade, but at the same time watching those revelers (nothing solemn about it) indicates 1) NYers have just accepted this is their reality, and 2) NYers couldn’t give a sh!t about those killed unless they knew them personally.
Reminds me of a quote from Van Jones-

Well, yes you have, Van, because that is what you and yours do, and then you assign it to others who aren’t doing the same, much like Hillary did with Russia. It’s called “projection”.
