I suppose it could have been a pendulum shift after years of having dippy female roles, Lucy, Joan, Irma, etc. But the pendulum has gone too far and is stuck. History seems to be on the side of the War on Masculinity. It’s bundled with feminism, equal pay, reproductive rights, and other cultural nonsense. 27% of households today are single person. Men are “cutting the cord.”
