It means Allah is Greatest.
It is a scream of supremacy.
The duty of every muslim is jihad until there are no more infidels.
Jihad will only stop when there is no one willing to die for Allah.

The funny thing is that the Mahometans always try to say that certain words in Hebrew are cognates of Arabic words (e.g. they try to use
Machmad in Song of Solomon 4:7, translated lovely, as if it were a prophecy of the coming of Mahomet and thus a manifestation of their false prophets name in the Old Testament)but if one were to point to
akbar in Hebrew, that is that languages word for mouse. Is Allah a
mouse?

From wikiislam.net
“Many Muslims and their apologists claim “Allahu Akbar” is simply the Arabic translation of a common English phrase meaning “God is great!” However, this is untrue. “Allahu Akbar” does not mean “God is great” as claimed. It actually means “Allah is greater.”
‘Allah’ is not simply the Arabic word for ‘God,’ but the name of Islam’s chosen deity and ‘Akbar’ does not mean ‘great’, but ‘greater’. Greater than what? The answer is, Allah is greater than whatever god you happen to believe in.”
I really think we should start making this public knowledge.

It is a scream of supremacy. Yes, and an ancient battle cry.
