Donald Trump got around in front of a parade that was already formed up. People had reached the boiling point in regards to the Big Media several years earlier, when it became clear that most of the reporting on Barack Hussein Obama was very carefully filtered, and virtually nothing negative got into public distribution. But behind the scenes, much of the corruption was already well known among the big dogs in the media offices, and a good many of the front people at lower levels.

The phrase should be a "free and honest" press. Today's press is sorely lacking in the "honest" department. There's a lot of "ends justifies means" thinking going on. Persuasion is masked as information.

Brokaw’s disdain for conservatives and conservative values is bigotry in the extreme. I saw that long before Trump decided to run for president.
I saw that arrogance and contempt in Hillary Clinton when they first appeared on the political scene.
I saw that in the union leaders when I was a teen in the sixties.
