The actual times article gets it wrong on at least two points. It claims:

- He came from a family …who practiced traditional islam and never embraced extremism.
How is that possible? What version of the Koran is used in that context? Anyone?

- As with any attack like this, there is no single reason…
To say, where one or two or more perps kill innocents and declare doing so in the name of Allah, there is no religious motivation or purpose is to intentionally mislead and befuddle. For what purpose? (In this regard see my new tagline.)

It is amazing that the NYT can publish such articles and yet sell ad space.
