Bush 41 and Bush 43 Worry Trump Is Blowing Up the G.O.P.

WASHINGTON — President Trump is not a favorite in the extended Bush household. Former President George Bush considers him a “blowhard,” only interested in feeding his own ego. Former President George W. Bush, his son, thinks Mr. Trump fans public anger and came to office without any understanding of the job.

And both worry that Mr. Trump has blown up a Republican Party that they spent two lifetimes building, a party that was once committed to removing boundaries to trade and immigration, promoting democracy and civil society and asserting a robust American leadership role in the world, according to an author who has interviewed them.

“...a party that was once committed to removing boundaries to trade and immigration”

So there you have it. How many Republicans actually campaign for open borders? Answer: Virtually None!

And that is the problem. You don’t ‘build up’ a party to advertise one thing (i.e., secure borders) and then govern EXACTLY OPPOSITE of that (i.e., open borders).

The Bush’s are SICK PEOPLE to support a party that does that and THANK GOD they’re mostly gone now.

For too long, the divide has been, not between Democrats and Republicans, but between traditionalists who treasure and value the Founders' ideas of liberty as expressed in the Declaration of Independence, the Farewell Address of First President George Washington and the First Inaugural of President Thomas Jefferson, versus the self-identified Liberal/Progressive ideology which has sought to replace those ideas with ideas of tyranny and government-over-people oppression.

Note that Progressives come under both the label of Democrat and Republican, and globalists who would superimpose one-world-government ideas over national sovereignty certainly cannot claim to be in the same camp as Washington, Madison, Jefferson, and Lincoln.

Trump's nomination and subsequent election have been a latter-day "Harrowing of Hell."

He shows up and the place just explodes.

The Bushes, like most politicans, are elitest an globalist so if you have anyone that does not agree then they turn on you no matter the cost. Remember a globalist does not represent the people only themselves and the socialist movement. Ah yes, Bush said he voted for Hillary, says a lot.

Doesn’t George W. have some paintings he wants to do, and doesn’t George H.W. have some women he can grope?

Precisely the reason many of us voted for him. One globalist, America last party is enough.

It was already dead. Some of the culprits are just trying to frame an innocent man.

I blame the Bushes, McCain, Cruz and a bunch of others.

Trump had nothing to do with it.

“I would use the same reasoning here, that regarding the GOP, how is it, that 16 or 17 career politicians representing the GOP in primaries, were all defeated by Trump?”

I think it was 16, and going with that, the next question is:

1) Why did 15 other Republicans IMMEDIATELY condemn Trump for wanting to build a wall? After all, the vast majority of the base loved the wall and what it represented. (with Cruz being the only exception of the 16, but still only half-hearted praise)

So now the answer: Because the Republican Party has gotten so controlled by special interests (particularly the Open Borders bunch) that it is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE for a person to move up the ranks if they’re serious about border control - totally impossible. It’s not that they don’t exist - they do by the millions, it’s just that they never even make it to their state legislature, much less to a position to run for president. Trump was able to TOTALLY OWN the issue because the vaunted Republican Party that the Bush’s think so highly of literally cleared the field for him.

Good. Light that candle! Blow it up and burn it down.

Since Reagan left the building, the Bush Family is the GOP and they are a major factor of why we are where we are.

Bush the elder torpedoed and sank the Reagan Revolution, thus putting US back on the progressive’s kinder, gentler road to utopia, then the GOPe ran Bob Dole, because “it was his turn”, effectively handing US over to 8 years of the Clinton Crime Family rule.

Naturally, these two Family’s new world order begat other new world leaders, who then sent US gifts of Karma and Scriptural consequences of Biblical proportions. Boom!

Curiously, Bush the younger appears to have then surrendered US to those behind the 9/11 attacks, curiously opening our borders even more, while simultaneously creating the TSA and greatly increasing domestic surveillance, including warrantless monitoring and recording of domestic voice and data communications.

In what appears to be our unacknowledged surrender, the unconstitutional, undocumented citizen obama then took over from Dubya and ramped up all of those domestic monitoring and control programs even more, largely thanks to GOPe help and support in Congress.

Seen from this perspective, it was over for we, the people. We were being assimilated into the Beast, but...

Along comes what appears to be a timely Gift from God: a RESET button for US to mash named Donald J. Trump, so we mashed it good!

Blow up the GOP? You betcha! President Donald J. Trump, please do US the honor and light that candle!

“Coming from Bush 41 and 43, who both left the GOP in worst condition than when they became president.”

Good point - I don’t know the numbers off hand, but I suspect support of the Republicans DROPPED BY 20% between the time they took office and the time the left office.

...and who were those 20%? They were the people on our side who expected the Bush’s to simply FOLLOW THEIR CAMPAIGN PROMISES. They didn’t - they both went hard left - but the left hated them just as much, so they virtually had no one left supporting them.

...and they want to be taken seriously?
