Bush 41 calls Trump a 'blowhard'; White House strikes back [Remember David Souter?]
CNN ^ | 11/04/17 | Javier De Diego and Jamie Gangel

(CNN)The White House has struck back at both Bush presidents Saturday after the two made stinging comments about President Donald Trump in a new book about the father and son.

"If one presidential candidate can disassemble a political party, it speaks volumes about how strong a legacy its past two presidents really had," a White House official told CNN. "And that begins with the Iraq war, one of the greatest foreign policy mistakes in American history."

"President Trump remains focused on keeping his promises to the American people by bringing back jobs, promoting an 'America First' foreign policy and standing up for the forgotten men and women of our great county," the official said.

Former President George H.W. Bush delivered a blunt assessment of Trump in historian Mark Updegrove's new book, titled "The Last Republicans," saying, "He's a blowhard." And former President George W. Bush also had harsh words for his Republican successor: "This guy doesn't know what it means to be president."

Calling Trump a “ blowhard” just reeks of hypocrisy coming from a man the global establishment called a “’cowboy”

A man the democrat establishment media referred to as “’Mr. Bush” for much of his first term

A man who nobly gave Nancy Pelosi a “ big plane”’to load with liquor and fresh flowers to fly her family to California every weekend

A man who held hands with the Saudi King whose money funded islamic terrorism in its greatest growth in history

A man who coined the phrase “ religion of peace” while America was still sifting human remains from smoking craters in NYC and trees in Shanksville

GWB you had some of us fooled but you never fooled DJT!

Souter? How ‘bout Harriet Miers?!

He also appointed the black-robed thug James Robart of the 9th circus who was the first to rule against Trump’s travel ban.

“it could be argued that the old man gave us Bill and Hillary Clinton.”

There’s no argument there, he did, and his dumb-a$$ed son, “W” gave us Obola! And now we’re having to hang around and wait for Souter to kick off, the Wise Latrina to bail because of cancer, and for Ruth Buzzy to pick out her broom and ride off into her casket. Can you imagine where our country would be today, if Donald Trump had followed Ronald Reagan in stead of the Booshes, Clintons, and Obolas? Thanks to the Booshes, this country has pi$$ed away TWENTY-EIGHT precious years in failed presidents, and would be on it’s way to permanent oblivion had Trump not won!

I felt that GW did a good job his first term. Then, WHAMO! What happened to him?? It all makes total sense now, that his failure was by design. Setting up a Barack Obama and Democrat-controlled House and Senate. And almost another Clinton White House. President Trump is only a temporary bump in the road for these OWG types. Hopefully we The people have woken up enough to realize the danger ahead.

Anyone got a video of GWB coming out of the voting booth in 2016? Was he smiling? I believe he and Jeb voted for Hillary as well as their dad.

Trump should consider it a compliment coming from two douchebags who did nothing in twelve years of the presidency. As a matter of fact Trump has done more in his 10 months than these two ever accomplished. Let’’s remember “read my lips no new taxes”, GWB never vetoed any bill in 8 years, GWB let the RATS crap all over him for eight years, he even proclaimed Bill Clinton as a “brother from another mother”. Recall old man Bush listening to douchebag Powell to stop the assault in Iraq because we were kicking too much ass, which ultimately caused Hussein to continue his reign of terror. Ah the Bushs they’re finished as Jesse Jackson said “out da Bushs’.

When Souter was nominated, many in the MSM thought he was a stealth candidate, or a stealth ultra-conservative. I’ve believed for quite a few years that he was a stealth candidate, but GHWB’s stealth, pro-abortion liberal candidate.

GHWB got exactly what he wanted in Souter.

I’ve said this so many times before, pardon if I’m redundant, but I cannot believe how many people Trump has “outed” that we basically once trusted...

And he's outed an entire category of people: the globalists. It was only a few years ago that using the terms globalists or globalism would get you labeled a conspiracy kook by most who considered themselves conservatives. That's changed and globalism and the globalists are openly discussed as the danger to US sovereignty that they are, largely thanks to President Trump.

The Bushies live in a bubble full of deep state doodoo.

This will not convince many regular dims and lefties that they are or were good guys, and this is only repugnant to the republican base. Their appoval rate keeps going down.

So the Bushies want to ingratiate themselves to the elitist swamp creatures in DC and the coasts? Whatever for?

“George W Bush’s legacy is Hussein Obama and a predatory democrat supermajority in Congress.”

And GHWB’s “legacy” was the Clintons! So all combined, the Booshes have “given” this country 28 years of combined $hit Globalist/Moron, Horn-Dog Communist, and Black Bastard leadership!

“Ross Perot gave us Bill Clinton.”

He only “helped!” The fact that GHWB had such a pi$$ poor record as President was more to the point. Perot was simply an little effing opportunist. Another POS to put on my “most hated list!”

Well stated.

I haven’t yet met anyone in this forum who “hates America”, “blames America first”, or wants to “cut and run” - the latter 2 being possibly the most idiotic slogans I’ve ever heard.

I think that maybe at one time, some of the most vocal pro-Bush posters were folks with a serious conflict of interest in that they were receiving govt largesse either directly or as contractors (or even financial institution interests). There seem to be less of those people around here now.
