Texas church gunman was shot by hero plumber Stephen Willeford...before 100mph car chase (tr)

Full title:

Revealed: how Texas church gunman was shot by hero plumber Stephen Willeford and another passer-by before 100mph car chase

BENEDICT MOORE-BRIDGER David Gardner

Stephen Willeford, 55, grabbed his own rifle and rushed to confront Devin Kelley after being told an attack was underway by his daughter.

As he arrived outside the church he came face-to-face with Kelley.

Mr Willeford, a plumber with no military experience, shot him in the side through a gap in his body armour, forcing the killer to flee.

Mr Willeford and another passing resident, Johnnie Langedorff, then chased him at almost 100 miles per hour in a car as the wounded killer tried to make a getaway after taking a hostage.

Kelley is said to have killed 26 people – including a child aged five – when he stormed into the church on Sunday dressed in black tactical gear and armed with an assault rifle.

Freeman Martin, regional director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, said: “The suspect dropped his rifle, which was a Ruger AR assault-type rifle, and fled from the church. The man then chased the gunman.”

Mr Langedorff said: “He got a little bit of a jump on us. So we were doing about 95 miles per hour, going around traffic and everything.

“He just lost control and that’s whenever I put the vehicle in park. The other gentleman jumped out and had his rifle drawn on him and he didn’t move after that.”

Kelley was found a short distance away in his crashed vehicle, dead from a bullet wound. He had several more guns in his car, but the hostage was unhurt.

Police are still trying to establish whether Kelley died from Mr Willeford’s shot, or if he committed suicide.

Speaking at a news conference in Japan, Mr Trump said: “Fortunately somebody else had a gun that was shooting in the opposite direction, otherwise it would have been – as bad as it was – it would have been much worse.”

-snip=

He [mass murderer Devin Kelley] served in logistics readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, and was jailed for one year in 2012 on two counts alleging assault on his wife Danielle Shields and their child.

In 2014, he was kicked out of the military.

Old school friends described Kelley, who lived in nearby New Braunfels, Texas, as a “creep” who made no secret of his anti-religious views.

Nina Rose Nava, who went to school with Kelley, said: “He was always talking about how people who believe in God were stupid and trying to preach his atheism.’

On Kelley’s Facebook page, he appeared to have a fascination with guns. He had recently shared a photo of an AR-15 style gun with the caption: ‘She’s a bad b***h.”

Kelley’s mother-in-law, Michelle Shields, is understood to be a parishioner at the First Baptist Church and was friends on social media with First Baptist Pastor Frank Pomeroy and his wife.

A Vigilante cannot shoot Kelley sitting in a McDonald's eating a hamburger just because he just killed 50 people.

What if he were having fries instead? Then at least you could ask him, "Would you like some lead with those fries?" before shooting him.

“Psycho Killer might have been using self defense because Plumber could then be seen as the aggressor and he is not law enforcement”

You might be interested to know that a cop has no rights in that situation that a citizen doesn’t also possess. In fact, the cop is probably more restricted. You are letting your sophistry and legalistic emotions blind you here. A man who just killed half a church doesn’t suddenly become a victim fleeing for his life, and possessing rights to self defense.
He is a continuing threat to the community and ANY citizen is fully legal to take measures to apprehend him until law enforcement arrives to take over.

Notice how he isn’t under arrest? Its like that.

I bet you have a hard time finding any posts on this site where anyone stated that “in Texas you can kill a killer no matter what.”

The CNN “like” lends credence to the theory that it’s not video games triggering these mentally unbalanced mass murders, but the 24x7x365 tsunami of invective and hatred being spewed by CNN/MSNBC and the rest of the fake stream media.

think about it. what kind of impact would watching CNN exclusively and obsessively have on a mentally unbalanced person already seething with hatred and resentment? At a minimum Wouldn’t that mentally ill person feel validated in their hatred and resentment? How far is it from that validation to taking the next step of unfettered violence?

Texas shooting: Devin Kelley killed a baby aged 18 months, police confirm

Clark Mindock
November 6, 2017

The Texas church shooter Devin Kelley killed a baby aged only 18 months during the massacre that killed at least 26 people on Sunday afternoon, police have announced.

From CBS News...

"As he exited the church, a local resident grabbed his gun and pursued the suspect, who dropped his weapon and fled the scene.

The suspect was later found dead inside his vehicle. Officials are unsure if he was shot by a resident or suffered a self inflicted gunshot wound, said Freeman Martin, regional director of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The daughter of the church’s pastor was one of the victim’s killed in the shooting, her mother Sherri Pomeroy told CBS News via text message.

“My husband and I were ironically out of town in two different states. We lost our 14-year-old daughter today and many friends,” Pomeroy said Sunday.

She added, “Neither of us have made it back into town yet to personally see the devastation. I am at the Charlotte airport trying to get home as soon as I can.” ..."

Witness the deafening hypocrisy from the usual suspect politicians - don't have to name names, we all know who they are - when one of their pet shock troops actually goes and carries out the hate they have been spewing about on those 24x7x365 media outlets.

“The Texas church madman was a disgraced Air Force veteran who was court-marshaled in 2012 after assaulting his wife and child, reports said.

Devin Patrick Kelley, who joined the military in 2010,was given a dishonorable discharge and slapped with 12 months of confinement in 2014 after his court marshaling, CBS News reported.

The military said Sunday that Kelly served in Logistics Readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico from 2010 until his discharge.

The Pentagon also confirmed that Kelley was an airman “at one point,” but did not provide additional details.

Kelly was married and lived in a wooded area on the rural, western outskirts of New Braunfels, north of San Antonio.

His mother-in-law has a post-office box in Sutherland Springs, where he launched his massacre, about 50 minutes away.”

Atheists that cause problems have never made sense to me. They claim they do not believe in God, so why would religious things of any type have any meaning at all to them? If a person truly does not believe then why does it matter what others do, or say? Instead it seems some are obsessed with wanting no religion to exist, no sign that anyone believes. They hate believers, and want to destroy or hide any trace of religion. I just don’t understand why they care.

Foxnews article states that in 2014 Kelley registered to vote in Colorado. I wonder which party he registered under?

From now on it looks like you’re gonna have to have a volunteer concealed carry parishioner at church next Sunday. These anti religious maggots are a menace. There’s no other solution.

I will be happy to analyze your case law that indicates a civilian can execute someone who is not in the process of a crime and is peacefully eating a burger at McDonalds.

Got any?

Can a cop go in and put two bullets to the back of the head of a peaceful patron who is dangerous and possibly armed with no warning? It is a Con law question and a tactical situation with other patrons present.

Can a civilian execute said peaceful eater?

NO
