I am not the first person to point this out: There’s been a cultish quality to President Trump’s most ardent supporters. He seemed to acknowledge the phenomenon when he boasted that he could “stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody” and not lose voters.
Throughout the campaign, and in personal appearances since then, Trump has harnessed the kind of emotional intensity from his base that is more typical of a religious revival meeting than a political rally, complete with ritualized communal chants (“Lock her up!”).

Is the author hinting at that Trump is going to be assassinated? If so maybe the Secret Service should have an interview with him. Also what about the cult of Obama? His picture on car bumper stickers or school children singing songs of his praise?

I have heard tell that a goodly number of our US Embassies are refusing to replace Obama’s picture with official photos of Trump and Pence on the walls......so, who is the Cult???

The President Donald J. Trump is doing a good job. Some of us are deeply grateful, and despise these negative reports that never let the Commander in Chief do his job effectively. The Los Angeles Times has lost it’s place to influence our cultural in a positive way.
