Paul McCartney: Trump's Refusal to Recognize Climate Change Is 'Madness'
Rolling Stone ^ | November 6, 2017 | By Ryan Reed

Posted on 11/07/2017 7:51:31 AM PST by Oldeconomybuyer

Paul McCartney criticized President Trump's lax attitude toward climate change in a new interview with the BBC. "You've got someone like Trump who says that it [climate change] is just a hoax," he said. "A lot of people like myself think that's just madness."

"It's maybe a good time now to try and focus people's attention and say, 'Look, forget about [Trump] – we can do something,'" he said. "It's not the total solution, but it's part of the solution. A lot of people have been saying this for a long time but there's resistance."

Use your own money for climate change Paul, and leave ours alone.

Shut up and sing, Paul. Geez. You aren’t a scientist. You’re a singing bass guitar player.

Yeah, and I'll take "Venus and Mars" or "Band on the Run" over "The Beatles" (White Album).

Wow, those are two of his better post-Beatles albums, but better than the White Album? Really?

Dear Paul is Dead,

You have been brainwashed and programmed with extensive totalitarian propaganda. We are trying to deprogram you and that is why you are having these intensive knee jerk reactions. CO2 is an essential gas for plants. Higher levels are greening the planet. It is not a significant green house gas. FYI - We will be reprogramming you in other areas. So get ready to get even more crazy.

The WHite Album has a lot of monkeying around that should have been left out. WAY too much self-indulgence. "Revolution #9" is what ... eight minutes of Yoko Ono/drug noise?

The more melodic songs (Martha My Dear/Don't Pass Me By) don't go with the Lennon psych-stuff on the album. Some good individual tunes, but a bad album ... a worse double album.

50 plus years of smoking pot has diminished a large number of Sir Pauls brain cells

Paul was musically gifted, but never very bright. Quite slow on the movie sets for the various Beatle movies, his directors would comment. Being slow as a actor is saying a lot.

Recognize it, then what Paul, stop you from using Private Jets to get to your Gigs?

Stop you from using Big Rigs to haul the Equipment to your Gigs?

Make you use Solar Panels and Wind to power all the Equipment you use during your Gigs?

Tell us Paul, what can POTUS Trump do to stop and reverse Climate Change?

Madness is not knowing you are marrying a prostitute and then being surprised when it costs you $50M to divorce her.

Agree regarding #9.

I love the looseness and variety of songs on the album. If I could only take one album to a desert island, it would be the White Album. Different strokes for different folks. :-)

Was the interview conducted from his private plane, yacht, limo, mansion?

He believes in global warming, he just doesn't live like it.

Dear Prudence is one of my favorites on that album. John’s composition. Prudence or diplomacy sounds like good advice for Paul right now.
