"Why are all these old farts still in the news?"

Why do we still keep calling it "the news"? To me, the news is a strict recitation of the facts, the truth. Television "news" is all propaganda and fluff all the time. Propaganda and fluff to soothe the masses.

I have not consumed MSM "news" for several years.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Instead of ‘news’ media, we should call it something else ...... Fluffaganda? Propaguff?

BTW, on the latter (propag[andafl]uff), ‘guff’ turns out to be: NOUN; trivial, worthless, or insolent talk or ideas.

If cable “news” channels or network “news” programs were actually about news, they would be broadcasting events from PDJT’s Asian trip, especially his speeches. Instead, they comment on the trip, focusing on trivia such as hamburgers and feeding fish. His speech before the South Korean National Assembly was outstanding, both in content and presentation.
