Corey Stewart, Republican Senate candidate from Virginia in the 2018 midterm election, looked at the Virginia governor’s race on Tuesday morning’s edition of Breitbart News Daily with SiriusXM hosts Alex Marlow, Raheem Kassam, and Steve Bannon. “About ten days ago, Gillespie was way down in the polls. All these polls had him down by at least eight points, or down by ten,” Stewart noted.
“As Ed campaigned and became more Trumpian, he has more embraced the Trump agenda, it looks a lot like the campaign that I ran against him, frankly – running on issues such as protection of historical monuments, cracking down on MS-13 and other illegal alien criminals, and starting to embrace a little bit of the president but not completely,” he said, referring to his race against Gillespie for the Republican gubernatorial nomination.
“As he’s done that, his poll numbers have come way up. The RealClearPolitics average has him down by a little bit more than three points, which is a dramatic improvement, but he does seem to have some momentum on his side at this point,” Stewart said.
Bannon asked why the Trump agenda was so important to the Commonwealth.

And that is about where it ended up in the only poll that matters. Not sure how that is a positive sign for 2018 election in VA.
Restating the obvious, when he knew he could not win running as a deep state RINO, he says he saw the light. Leopards never change their spots. In politics, they just lie.
None of what Stewart said 24 hours ago about Gillespie gaining momentum by becoming more Trumpian turned out to be true when the actual election results came in. He and the rest of the GOP got slaughtered in Virginia.
And if you want to get a good analysis of what yesterday’s elections meant, forget reading the NY Times or Breitbart or watching CNN or Fox—read the local papers where these elections took place. They know their communities best.
Northern Va is full of Obamacrats from the steady government hiring over the 8 years of his reign. The more the swamp is drained, the more Northern Va will tilt back to the right.

Gillespie's conversion to Trump policies came too late.
His "Hail Mary" request to Trump for assistance wasn't enough in the 11th hour !
It was a 'death bad' conversion, as evidenced by the whispers coming now from the Gillespie campaign after the election.
Seems they were right this time.
Face it...Virginia is just not White enough to support the GOP. This was by design. People are not aware that there has been a 400% increase in Muslims in VA during Obama, for example. The illegal alien population went from 280,000 to nearly 500,000 in just 8 years. Blacks hired by quota into permanent Federal jobs skyrocketed under Obama, and they live in VA and MD.
And they will vote for anyone with a ‘D’ after their name. Even he/shes. As in District 13. Sad...
And to think the same rino country clubbers who are responsible with their rich Democrat friends want us to lower their taxes. Some how lowering their taxes are about the only thing we conservatives win at! WE need a conservatism that benefits Conservatives not the Chamber of Commerce rino traitor scum.
