The former Pennsylvania senator and obdurate social conservative may be absent from public life, but he's on track to receive a bigger honor: going down as a biblical prophet, not unlike Micah.
During his ill fated presidential campaign, Santorum was asked by a university student to clarify past comments likening homosexuality to bestiality and incest. Flustered, he replied, "If the Supreme Court gives the right to consensual sexual activity, then you have the right to incest, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to all sorts of – you have the right to anything if it's consent."
He was mocked then. He should be seen as clairvoyant now.
Cosmopolitan, that distinguished sex rag providing perverted tips for teenagers, discharged the next volley in the Sexual Revolution's war on bourgeois norms. The puerile publication tweeted out a story of the forbidden love between a sister and her half-brother, titled "This Is What It's Like to Fall in Love with Your Brother."
Whoever the headline editor is for this particular article should be fired at once. The piece, filled with dizzying accounts of infidelity, illegitimate children, and the discovery of multiple half-siblings, is not a love story. It's a tale of erotic attraction that would make the damned in Dante's second circle of Hell blush. Melissa, the woman around whom the story revolves, had "sexual fantasies" about an adult half-brother she found on Facebook. When they actually met, she described the "love at first sight" encounter in purely sexual terms. "The sexual force was like I was levitating off the earth. Your body instantly craves the other person," she told author Ashley Fogle.

Perhaps the question is, rather, why not? Why shouldn't forbidden love be celebrated? Liberals, after all, have already decided that #lovewins. What kind of mossback Neanderthal still hasn't accepted the ontological fact that "love is love"?
The person out of step with modern thinking on individualism, that's who. The modern consensus on sex has come to resemble capitalism: choice rules. Liberals, especially the young, may pine for socialism, but they inject the capitalist ethos into sexual relations. Shop around, make your pick, have some fun, return for a refund if it's defective – such is love in the "Netflix and chill" era.

When the Supreme Court decided that same sex marriage was OK I postulated to a friend that if you that to its logical conclusion there will be a day when someone decides they want to marry their horse, dog, cat, etc. and the courts will have to allow it.
The person guffawed at that but what we have in this case gets us just a bit further down the road to that logical conclusion.

It’s a coalition between liberals and libertarians that push for this destructive cultural “value” . The liberals want freedom without responsibility and libertarians want unfettered personal freedom, damn the social consequences.

Too late. New Jersey courts approved of an 18 year old marrying her biological father. I don’t think they even did anything about the fact that the girl admitted to having sexual relations with her father 2 years or more before that, which would be statutory rape.

Also, “moral incest” is akin to eating one’s feces. It isn’t about the potential disabled offspring; it is about wrongly having sex with primary family members. This includes stepchildren, adoptive siblings, etc. if they were in your primary family houshold, they are NOT sexually ok for you. Period. It isn’t about genetics.
Then, we have the other kind of incest, where the two have not been raised together at all, but are true genetic relatives: an estranged father, or genetic siblings from the same batch of embryos raised in wholly different families. They, upon meeting as adults, might feel a deep genetic similarity. I have such an experiment going on in my home (with genetic siblings far away and have yet never met) and there are some amazing similarities just like those stories of identical twins reared in separate families. The people who pair up in this situation are committing bio incest and it is also for humanity still a moral taboo. But these people need to be taught why, and not to mistake sameness attraction as SEXUAL attraction. Be fascinated by your genetic connection, but find someone else to have sex with.
In my opinion, libertarians don't understand that in the end, unfettered freedom leads to libertinism. And libertinism leads to massive social issues that lead to disorder. That disorder gets the populace at large to vote in authoritarians. John Adams was right, we have to have a moral and religious people to keep the system running correctly.
Nihilism is being openly promoted. Total destruction of Western culture. Satanic.
Libertarians want unfettered personal freedom and know that social and physiological consequences will deal with the excesses.
Liberals want unfettered personal freedom and they want everyone else to bear the burden of the social and physiological consequences.
