I don’t recall a top level Democrat going against the Clintons. I will say that scandal material has never hurt them legally. I’m not sure how bad it hurt Hillary last year.
It would seem negative reports would hurt her, but even Obama wasn’t hurt by the negative things he was doing as president. He was re-elected despite them.
What I can’t shake, is the feeling this is all a manipulation. “Oh this has been aired in public, and there was nothing there.”
Hillary may ultimately be behind this.
Even the Seth Rich stuff is something that was already out there.

They manipulate the media better than anyone I’ve ever seen, and much of it is a media complicit effort.
Watch this all die off, and Clinton claim she is pure a the driven snow, because it’s all been aired, and there was no “there” there.
In a slightly different way, this has all been done before.
It's very plausible. I say that much has been orchestrated against the Trump administration from Day 1, solely for the purpose of discrediting them. Think about the "protests" against his first immigration "ban," the pussy-hatted marchers, and all of the other "resistors."
This has been done to obfuscate any matter that might stem from any type of legal charges that might be brought against them at some point. This may have had an effect of painting Jeff Sessions in a corner--not so much because he couldn't press legal charges, but because he was afraid of the political fallout.
Secondarily, it also takes the political wind from Trump's sails...he had no "honeymoon period" with the American people, because he is the antithesis of everything the Left stands for, and the Left wanted to restrict the damage he might've done to their "legacy."
