"If The GOP Repeals The Adoption Tax Credit The Party Should Disband"
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

The states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific power to tax and spend for INTRAstate family issues and a lot of other intrastate issues that the corrupt feds are now considering taking away deductions for.

Ultimately depending on what the legal majority voters of a given state want, the states would be able to provide adoption deductions, or an equivalent, if the feds weren't stealing state revenues through unconstitutional federal taxes.

Drain the swamp! Drain the swamp!

If you want to get angry at the GOP about tax deductions, then get angry with them for not having the balls to lower all taxes with a lower fixed universal flat tax applicable to everyone with zero deductions, exclusions, exemptions or credits.

Without any itemized deductions we could have a flat tax with a single personal deduction and file post card sized tax returns.

Instead, we have a 16,845 page Internal Revenue Code and cannot prepare a tax return without a CPA or a computer.

And yes, every single one of the countless itemized deductions in the Internal Revenue Code was lobbied for by someone who is adamant that that deduction is sacred.

Yes, it certainly is!

And the uber wealthy know how to avoid it; unlike those with much, much much smaller estates, who get hurt the worst.

I'm all for a FLAT tax and absolutely NO/none/not ever hand-outs to those who pay little to no Fed taxes! That group just keeps on growing ( the powers that be keep raising the ceiling of who gets this UNDESERVED rebate! ) and growing, whilst those who DO pay through the nose keep on getting the very dirty end of the stick.

Spot on. Everyone wants simple taxes as long as their pet deduction is included.

Every single deduction in the tax code is a sacred cow to someone.

That is a criminally doctrinaire rationale. The purpose of tax breaks is to encourage certain behaviors. Some of those behaviors are good for Americans as a whole, and some are not. Throwing them all in the same bucket is silly.

Actually, I think everyone wants FAIR taxes that are simple ENOUGH for the average taxpayer to UNDERSTAND their fairness and benefit to America as a whole.

A tax credit is not a deduction,
it is theft that hurts children.

No, people do not want FAIR taxes.

People want the best tax, the original tax of no tax,
paid by tariffs.

Tariff is the only FAIR tax that the rich elite hate.

Yeah, "people" who have no grasp of economics.

Because it’s insanely expensive, 10s of thousands of dollars, and rife with corruption and human trafficking. Children are kidnapped or outright bought, parents or family members are told child is going to the US for school. Remember the flap over the boy Madonna adopted?
Better to expand the child credit. That will benefit ALL families.
