“How about asking her what John Podesta meant about “killing whoever leaked DNC emails as an example”? Things don’t get much more Occumish-razorish than that!”

Well, maybe just read the actual emails instead of out of context quotes (misquotes even) from the sensationalists? The email chain does explain exactly what was being talked about. The “making an example” wasn’t about killing anyone, it was about rescinding job offers to people caught leaking to the media about the Hillary campaign. It certainly wasn’t about the DNC leak, which happened over a year AFTER that email was sent.

Thank you for the link. It was good to be reminded of the actual context, which was more in line with how Hillary’s campaign people were upset with the idea of a few big mouths blabbing to the press that they were trying to rebrand Hillary. She just never had a very good image with the little guy, and the WaPo story wasn’t going to be helpful.

While Podesta certainly wasn’t referring to email leaks of the DNC/Seth Rich/Wikileaks type, he did show a window into his thinking, however, by agreeing that they make an example out of anyone who did leak, as he put it, “whether or not we have any real basis for it.”

The point seemed to be that if you were someone who violated the trust of Hillary or her team, there were going to be stiff consequences. If you didn’t get permission from the brass to talk, you’d better not open your mouth.
