yea - Five broken ribs is “trivial.” I broke 2 ribs in a bicycle crash and that hurt like H**l. Could not sleep or breathe for a couple of weeks.

It is the defense attorney's duty to try to minimize penalties for the client's crime. The other issue here is when media organizations promulgate a lie to minimize penalties for his crime.
