I’m a Republican. I want to have a say in the primaries. There’s only two main parties and if we can’t input on the nominee, we’re stuck with establishment.

That's entirely true. If the parties control who they will allow to win primaries, we are really not much different than Communist countries that had bogus elections with only their chosen candidates on the ballot.

Imagine going into a restaurant and finding only two entrees on the menu, and you don't like either one. The management (e.g. ‘establishment) decided what those two entrees would be, and your only choice was which you disliked less. That's what our elections become when the establishment decides who they will accept coming out of the primaries.

The primaries are arguably the most important part of our essentially two-party voting system, as they allow a wide field of candidates, and are the most ‘grass roots’ aspect of our elections. Tampering with them subverts our right to choose our representation, and takes the reins of government away from the citizens.

Poor excuse for belonging to the party of the Booshes, Turtle McConnell, and Traitor McCain. Have you no pride, man?
